The Unified Pension Scheme shall apply from April 1, 2025 and is for the Central Government employees who are under the National Pension System. Contribution And Pension Amount
This scheme requires the employee to pay 10% of his basic salary + dearness allowance (DA) and the government will pay 18.5%. If an employee serves the company for at least 25 years, he will get 50 percent of his average basic salary of last 12 months as pension. Simultaneously, a minimum pension of ₹ 10,000 each month has been guaranteed to the employees who serve for a minimum time of 10 years.
Pension Payment And Gratuity
As per Unified Pension Scheme, retirement and death gratuity will also be provided. Other than that, partial withdrawal is stipulated, which enables employees to utilize their funds under special conditions following three years at the firm. This facility will be an added advantage to workers who may encounter sudden financial requirements.
